The recipient of this year's Smitiuch Injury Law St. John's College Legal Studies scholarship is Ms. Kristen Kerr.

This year's winner was announced on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 during her graduating ceremonies held at the Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts in Brantford, ON. The $250 scholarship is awarded to a student of St. John's College in Brantford, ON who has successfully completed the legal studies course during the 2009-2010 academic year. Furthermore, the student must demonstrate academic and extra-curricular excellence and must be pursuing education at a post-secondary institution. Ms. Kerr will be attending Wilfrid Laurier University in the fall and intends to study Honours Business Administration & Financial Mathematics.

The annual scholarship was established in 2006 by Smitiuch Injury Law's Managing Partner, Michael Smitiuch, and Litigation Coordinator, Arthur Ryan. Both Mr. Smitiuch and Mr. Ryan are alumni of St. John's College.

The winner of last year's 2009 scholarship was Mr. Mark DiGiandomenico.
