Toronto Wired Glass Incidents Lawyers

Wired glass is regular glass with a layer of meshed wire embedded inside it. It is commonly used in doors and fire separations in schools and public buildings. It was developed to contain smoke and flames but still allow people to look through doors.

Herein lies the danger. When wired glass breaks, it is held together by the embedded wire thus retarding the spread of smoke and flames. However, the shattered glass and wire can grab or catch an arm or hand that has gone through the glass resulting in severe lacerations and potentially leading to permanent loss of dexterity and sensation.

The injuries you experience might take weeks or months to heal, potentially affecting your ability to work and your overall quality of life. In the most severe cases, your injuries may stay with you for the rest of your life.
